Christmas Day

Memaw and Pepaw came up from Lake Jackson to spend Christmas Day with us. The boys LOVED the toys that Santa brought them, though Kyle wasn't quite sure what to think when he first came out of his room.

Santa brought Alek a huge firetruck and a huge garbage truck, along with other assorted items.

Kyle got the "Pooh train" and a "fort" along with other things as well. Andy (and the family) got a Nintendo Wii from Santa and I got a waffle maker and several books for me to read!
Of course the grandparents, Uncle Erik and Aunts Lisa & Julia showered them with toys, so now I get to go figure out a way to organize the toy room!!
Grandmama, Mike, Aunt Julia, Erik and Amanda joined us for Christmas lunch and by the end of the day we were all wiped out!
It was a great day and we hope everybody had a great Christmas as well!

Christmas Eve

Sorry I haven't blogged. I have been busy, tired, caught up in the story of a great book...
But alas, here are some Christmas pictures! We had a great Christmas Eve. We went down to Arlington to have dinner with Grandmama and Mike and Mike's family.

Santa...

We took the boys to see Santa today. Alek actually talked to Santa and told him what he wanted for Christmas instead of crying!! Yeah!! And while Kyle didn't cry, it was almost nap time and he was a bit cranky, not willing to smile. Enjoy!

I finally got my Christmas cards in the mail too...What a productive day ;)

...and Christmas Parties

Well, yesterday we had 2 Christmas parties. Kyle and I went to our Stroller Fit playgroup Christmas party and had a great time. Though by the end it was close to nap time, so the group picture didn't go so well...

Alek also had his class Christmas party. He had a great time as well. Each child made a special Christmas ornament for the parents and the teachers had a book exchange for the kids.

All in all, it has been a great week, but a busy week and boy am I glad those parties are over!

Ahhh, it is done...

I am finally, totally and completely DONE with Christmas shopping. All that is left to do is wrapping. And thank goodness. If I have to go to the mall one more time this season, I will hurt something. As for today, we did go to the mall. Got there at 10:30 this morning. Got a parking space in the covered area, got everything done, kids were good. It was fabulous. Went to get some lunch and holy cow! Bus loads of KIDS...what?!?! Since when do the schools do field trips to the MALL?? So we took a ride on the carousel and got out of there as fast as we could. All in all a very productive trip...whew!

POOP in the potty!!

Well, a year after my first and only post, I am back online! Thanks to Lindsay for designing my blog! It's perfect! I will try to post every few days, but it probably won't be everday. Just try to remember to check back every so often.

Today was an exciting day for Alek! He actually pooped on the potty for the first time. I don't know why I decided today was the day to potty train him since it hasn't gone so well in the past, but so far so good. He has both peed and pooped today.

Oh and it is below freezing and snow/sleeting here. So I guess I was thinking if we are cooped up might as well make use of the time!
